Early and legacy web projects

While my current focus is on highly customized frameworks and immersive experiences, my experience with web development and design reaches back over a decade.

This archive is a collection of legacy projects, early freelance work, and sites for businesses that have since closed their doors. Though some are no longer actively maintained or are only accessible via the Wayback Machine, they represent some earlier efforts that built the foundation of my current skill set.

MAIA Architecture

I was tasked with taking this architecture firm's physical paper portfolio and translating it into a fully functional digital presence. Working from their existing brand identity and a raw list of project descriptions and images, I built the site using a heavily modified WordPress theme.

Beyond standard theming, I developed a custom clickable masonry gallery module to showcase their architectural photography, integrated branded maps and forms, and set up their local SEO and Google Maps presence to ensure client visibility.
While I no longer maintain the site (resulting in some out-of-date APIs and lack of HTTPS), the core architecture and design remain functional today.

Penn Sardin

Penn Sardin was a long-running conceptual American pop-up restaurant and wine bar focused on the historical and culinary fusion of the US West Coast and Brittany, France. I collaborated closely with their graphic designer to build a simple, elegant website that put the focus entirely on their visual identity and messaging.

Using a barebones WordPress theme, I applied minimal styling to match their branding, bringing the custom paper-first iconography and branding elements to the web.

Olympia Oyster Bar

A streamlined, rapid-deployment project for a Portland-based oyster bar in Oregon.
This was a purely functional exercise in getting a local business online quickly and cleanly. I handled the WordPress installation, applied a simple theme, and executed minimal customization work to establish their digital footprint.
Though the venue has since closed, the site remains live as a legacy placeholder.
