Context
This website was built for an artist who needed an extremely simple and low-maintenance front page for their commission services. They wanted a streamlined way to link out to their social media accounts as well as outline their pricing and terms of service, and to provide a structured contact form.
Additionally, both the site and the integrated forms needed to be fully bilingual (English and French).
UX & Visual Design
The artist already had a distinct visual identity and color palette in place, but commissioned me for a new logo to anchor the site's branding.
I designed the interface to be as clean and minimalist as possible; by keeping the UI unobtrusive, the focus remains entirely on the artist's brand and message, ensuring that the logo and photos of their work remain the main visual element of each page.
Technical Architecture
This site was built using my Lightweight Static Framework. By utilizing a hand-coded frontend hosted on Firebase coupled with a custom JavaScript JSON localization system, I was able to handle the bilingual English/French requirements seamlessly while guaranteeing the site remained completely maintenance-free.
